Grappa

Grappa is a distilled exclusively Italian product, derived exclusively from wine produced from grapes and wine in Italy. Grappa (popular name to define the spirit of vinasse) is derived from the distillation of pomace after racking, fermented grapes or from virgin grape marc fermented after the separation from musts. May have an alcohol content between 37.5% and 60% vol, reached directly, in the case of grappas "pieno grado" (full grade), or by adding demineralized water in the right proportion to the product of distillation.

The quality of the grappa, as for wine, depends on the type and quality of the grapes used, but also on the type of distillation plant, and of course the technical skill of the master distiller. To get the best quality grappa are essential plant batch distillation method, is to steam a water bath, allowing you to select the individual batches of marc and grappa.
